When a reclusive and renowned folding artist opens her origami studio to a high school teacher and a young hip-hop prodigy, the three of them discover reams of connection and surprises. A poignant and entertaining reminder that life gets messy as it unfolds. Don't miss this Seattle Premiere from the Pulitzer Nominated playwright of such popular plays as Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo and Gruesome Playground Injuries.

This one-woman show about Joan of Arc and mental illness is a combination history lesson and autobiography. Both humorous and heartbreaking, it weaves together the stories of Joan of Arc, the writer's journey with mental health, and the moment when both women's lives overlap. A swift 80 minutes with no intermission, this limited performance is not to be missed.

The awe-struck Ken arrives at the New York studio of the abstract expressionist in the late 1950s. The artist, Mark Rothko, has been commissioned to paint a series of murals for the prestigious Four Seasons restaurant for a fee of several thousand dollars. (About $375,000.00 in 2024 dollars.)
True to the man it explores, "Red" revolves around a great contradiction. "Red" is a perfectly formed work with dialogue that crackles along. It has snippets of humor at just the right moments. When asked why he never paints outdoors, Rothko replies, "Nature doesn't do it for me. The light's all wrong."
"Red" won the 2010 Tony Award for best new play.
